1982: Stormy weather causes extensive power outages across Galway and Mayo.

2018: Ireland faces severe blizzard conditions due to the convergence of Storm Emma and a cold air mass from Siberia, popularly known as the "Beast from the East." A Status Red snow and ice warning is in place for the entire country.

2020:  Storm Jorge brings strong winds and heavy rain to western parts of Ireland.

2024: Dublin Airport records 45.3 mm of rainfall, marking its highest daily total for March in 82 years.
