NASA's Modis satellite captured clearing skies over Ireland on Tuesday morning.
Much of Ireland woke up to blue skies and sunshine, but cloud has persisted in some parts of the east and north coast.
Many parts of Ireland also enjoyed long sunny spells on Monday afternoon as evidenced by these Copernicus satellite images of Ennis, Co. Clare; Dublin; Ferbane and Tullamore, Co. Offaly; and Newport, Westport and Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
