Tuesday brings further showers and low temperatures

Some snow-capped mountain tops are likely by morning in the northwest as scattered outbreaks of rain with sleet and snow on the highest ground extend west into Ulster and Connacht.

Some light showers will push into Leinster and Ulster tomorrow off the Irish Sea, but otherwise a dry day ahead. The best of any sunny spells will be in the west. Top temperatures of 4-7c in moderate easterly winds. Some light rain will push into West Munster late on Tuesday, which will turn to sleet or snow on mountains.
