Sunshine finally returns following gloomy first half to February

Caherdaniel, County Kerry on Friday morning. 

Sunshine is following in behind this morning's rain in the southwest of Ireland after what has been a drab. gloomy February so far.

Cork and Kerry, which were placed under a Status Yellow Rain Warning yesterday, will enjoy the best of the sunshine early this afternoon but clearer spells will push north.

Top temperatures today of 4c to 14c with the warmest conditions in the southwest and the coldest in inland Ulster. It has already reached 13c at Kerry Airport, while it is 3c at Lough Fea, Tyrone.
