1963: A polar low moves down along the west coast producing heavy snow across much of the country. Parts of Wicklow, Kilkenny, Kildare, Waterford, Offaly, Limerick and Galway are the worst hit.

1990: A slow-moving frontal rain belt causes flash flooding in many parts of the country. The month is dominated by Atlantic depressions bringing strong winds to Ireland. Clones records an 81 knot (151 km/h) gust on the 26th.
