1902: Bitterly cold Arctic winds bring subzero daytime temperatures to Ireland.

1963: The maximum daytime temperature in the midlands is 0.8c, recorded in Birr, County Offaly.

1978: There is widespread disruption to travel as snowfall hits Ireland. The northwest and west are the worst affected regions

1979: Parts of Dublin and Wicklow are snowbound with electricity power lines down in many places due to heavy snowfalls.

2021: Snowfall impacts Munster, Leinster and Connacht.
