Aside from some patchy outbreaks of light rain during the first half of Saturday, the next week will bring largely dry weather to Ireland.
High pressure will keep Atlantic systems to the north of Ireland until next Thursday.
From later next week into mid-March, low pressure systems will have a greater influence on our weather with westerly winds and spells of rain at times.
Temperatures for the next 7 days look set to remain slightly above average for the time of year in the range of 9-12c.
In the meantime, there will be plenty of sunshine across Ireland for the remainder of Thursday and during Friday.
Frost will form in many areas tonight with temperatures falling to between -2 and +4 degrees Celsius. With light winds across Ireland, fog and mist patches will also form.
