Chilly conditions to persist through Monday

The best of any clear spells tonight will be in the west where temperatures will drop to freezing or slightly below in areas here sheltered from a moderate northeast wind.

A mild night elsewhere with temperatures not dropping below 3-5c in eastern and southern coastal counties.

It will feel very cold tomorrow in moderate to fresh E-NW winds with highest temperatures of just 4 to 7c. Some showers will affect eastern counties and some will push inland, with wintry precipitation on hills and mountains.

Rolling cloud and a partial clearing of the skies over the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, which is well lit up by Dunree Lighthouse and a Waxing Gibbous moon. The Snow Moon (Full Moon) occurs on Wednesday night.
