Ireland is enjoying long spells of late winter sunshine and clear blue skies this Friday.
The latest NASA satellite image shows clear skies over most of the island with the exception of the southwest. Even here, however, the sun breaking throught he high cloud.
The sunshine will be a welcome reprieve for farmers and for those utility workers looking to restore power and water supplies that were disrupted as a result of Storm Éowyn.
